AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS' DIFFICULTIES IN WRITING PARAGRAPH ( A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY OF THE THIRD SEMESTER STUDENTS' OF STKIP BINA BANGSA GETSEMPENA)

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the students' difficulties in writing and how the lecturer overcome difficulties students. The subject of this research is students of their semester in STKIP Bina Bangsa Getsempena Banda Aceh. The descriptive qualitative method is used to describe students' difficulties and how the lecturer overcome difficulties by students. The data of this research were obtained by using observation, questionnaires, interviews and students' writing sheets. The result shows that the researcher found for the type of difficulties is grammar, vocabulary, ideas, and topic sentences. The researcher found the highest difficulties by students is with 76,7% percentages because students' do not understand the use of grammar that is and right in English.
