Abstract
This research is entitled Character Education in Indonesian Language Textbooks for Class X Junior High School Students. The problem to be explored is the description of aspects of character education in Indonesian language textbooks for Class X junior high school students. This study aims to determine the description of character education in Indonesian language textbooks . The method used is descriptive analytical method with the continuation of content analysis. Sources of data in this study are Indonesian language textbooks for Class X Junior High School. The results of this study indicate that there are 26 characters contained in the Indonesian language subject matter for Class X Junior High School. Lots of character values synergize and support one another. The final percentage of the character score is 83.44%. It's just that there aren't characters that have a very low percentage, namely honesty, leadership, and giving appreciation or appreciation to students.
