Abstract

Early childhood is the one who is in an undergoing development process that becomes a fundamental to the next life. The learning process should have paying attention to the characteristics possessed by each stage of child development. Currently, Indonesia has being hit by a non-natural disaster; COVID-19. The impact of this virus is not only threatening public health but also the community's economy and as well as education field including early childhood education. The Indonesian government adopted a policy through the Minister of Education and Culture to regulate the implementation of education in the emergency period of the spread of the corona virus, taht is "Work from Home", a policy to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in school environments. This research, thereore, was conducted in order to support the government related to the policy of work rom hom), especially in the field of early childhood education. This research was planned to be carried out for 6 months. This research is a development research with a 4D design (define, design, develop and disseminate). This research will be conducted in 3D (define, design, develop). This research produces a product in the form of a module which is named the learning from home module. The target of developing the learning from home module is parents of early childhood. The purpose of developing this learning from home module is to serve as a guide for parents of early childhood in guiding their children to study at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of the define module resulted in 5 themes in semester 1 which will be developed in one module that will be produced. Each theme includes indicators of 6 aspects of child development, namely religious and moral values, physical motor skills, cognitive, language, social emotional and art. The second stage is design, the module is designed for 17 weeks during semester 1. Design learning activities from his home 2 activities per day with materials that are easy for parents to get at home. The final output of this research is expected to be an accredited national journal article or HAKI or ISBN module.
