Abstract

Assessment activity is a process to get feedback on the success of an action. One form of assessment is the assessment of skills or psychomotor aspects. This study aims to develop a peer assessment based psychomotor assessment instrument that can be used in science practicum activities. The research design used here is development research with the 4D model, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. Based on the results of the needs analysis carried out at the define stage, information is obtained that psychomotor assessment instruments are needed in the implementation of science practicum activities. At the design stage, an initial draft of the assessment instrument sheet will be designed according to the stages contained in the science practicum activity. At the development stage, the instrument sheet development stage will be carried out through expert validation activities and limited field trials. The disseminate stage, which is the last stage, which is to distribute the product to more samples. The results of the responses obtained from students showed that all students involved felt it was easier to carry out the assessment process based on peer assessment. They can make good use of their time in the assessment process so that science practicum activities can run optimally. Each student who acts as a practitioner also looks eager to carry out practicum activities because they know that they are being assessed directly, so the assessment process becomes more objective.
