Abstract

PROMS is the annual non-governmental professional symposium of the Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Society, established to promote objective measurement and contribute to the research and development of Rasch measurement in the Pacific Rim. The symposium is a forum for the sharing of new knowledge and new applications of the Rasch model with the international community. In addition to featured speakers, presentations, and panel discussions, workshops on Rasch measurement are attached to PROMS meetings. This year's PROMS will be held at Kyushu Sangyo University in Fukuoka, Japan, with two days of workshops on August 20 and 21 preceding the main conference from August 22 through 24. Previous PROMS Conferences have been held in Malaysia (2005, 2010), Hong Kong (2006, 2009), Taiwan (2007, 2013), Japan (2008), Singapore (2011), and China (2012, 2014).
