AN ANALYSIS OF IDIOMATIC EXPRESSION IN HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA: SUMMER VACATION MOVIE

Abstract
This study aimed to analyzed the idiomatic expressions in Hotel Transylvania: Summer Vacation the Movie. It was conducted to get information about What the type and the meanings of idiomatic expressions found in the Hotel Transylvania: Summer Vacation Movie are. The method that is used in this study was qualitative approach with document analysis design. The data took from the movie and its transcript to find 6 types of idioms. The result of this study showed that there are 3 different idioms that found in this movie. There are phrasal verb idioms with 33 data, tournure idioms with 11 data, and incorporating verb idioms 3 data. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the study completed the movie with 47 data of idioms.
