PERAN GURU PENDIDIKAN JASMANI DALAM MEMBANGUN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK DI SD NEGERI DEUDAP
Abstract
PeneThis study aims to find and understand the shape of the physical education teacher's role in building character, identify the teacher's activeness and concern for the formation of the character of his students, find out how big the role of physical education teacher is in forming the character of students. This research is a qualitative research. Subject selection using purposive sampling. The research subjects in this study were physical education teachers at SD Negeri Deudap, besides that, there were also perpetrators and informants consisting of the Principal, PJOK teachers,. The data collection tool uses data analysis interviews in the form of textural-structural description data. The validity of the results of the study was carried out by using a member check. The results show that the role of physical education teachers in building the character of their students has been carried out well in learning and outside class hours. For students, physical education teachers are able to show examples such as discipline by arriving at school early, motivating students by giving constructive appreciation and punishment, besides that physical education teachers can also inspire both students and other fellow teachers to improve themselves so that they have good character in speech and behavior. Physical education teachers also play an active role in instilling character education. Then the physical education teacher also conducts evaluations at the end of and outside of learning by habituating students to have a sense of responsibility.
