But the writer only focus on the second grade of Tayloring 2 class that has 30 students thus the students are taken as sample of this study. The data needed are gotten through pre-test and post-test that were analyzed by using t-test. The result of the study shows that teaching speaking to the second year students of second grade Tayloring 2 at SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh by using film is more effective than without using film. The avarage score of pre-test is 40.47 and the avarage score of post-test is 62.83. Thus avarage score of post-test is higher than avarage score of post-test. This can be proved from this research where the t-score of pre-test and post-test (11.98) is bigger than t-table (1.70). In other words, the use of film can improve students' speaking skill. Based on the result of the study, the teachers are suggested to use film in teaching speaking and the teachers should have a good competence to select the method or technique used in teaching and learning process thus the aim of teaching and learning process can be reached well.
